'Do-no-harm' Assessment

An assessment required by the Gold Standard version 2 and conducted by a project developer that identifies safeguarding measures to be employed by the project to avoid possible negative environmental, social and/or economic impacts.

Safeguarding Principles

List of eleven principles to be considered in conducting the 'Do-no-harm' assessment.

Sustainability Matrix

A Gold Standard tool that project developers must apply, containing twelve environmental, social and techno-economic indicators for evaluating and monitoring project impacts on local sustainable development.

Sustainability Monitoring Plan

Plan for monitoring the impact of a project on sustainable development that is required for registration as a Gold Standard project.
